"The Meeting of Leo The Great and Attila" is another famous fresco in the series of the Camera della Segnatura, in the Apostolic Palace in Vatican, commmissioned by Pope Julius II. Completed in 1514, it depicts the meeting between Pope Leo I and Attila, that resulted in the sparing of the Vatican City and the withdrawal of the Huns. Attila was persuaded by Pope leo and by the heavenly apparition of the two Apostles Peter and Paul.
