The Last Judgment was painted when Rubens was fully a mature artist, ridden by foreign biases. We can see the composition and style of the Last Judgment quite different in conception from Michelangelo's Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel, where the atmosphere is quite sober and gloomy.
