Visitors Comments on Sistine Chapel - The Fall and Expulsion from Garden of Eden by Michelangelo

Isn't the Bible itself offensive, then, by describing how Adam and Eve realized they were naked only after tasting the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge? They were innocent before the expulsion, so this is how Michelangelo chose to represent them, in an innocent sort of nudity.
Besides, remember that Julius the 2nd was breathing down Michelangelo's neck every step of the way. No way Michelangelo could have slipped this detail by Julius without his approval.

I find it interesting how Michelangelo included such a potentially offensive work. With Naked Eve having her head essentially beside naked Adam's crotch as if to flaunt the hypocrisy of putting representation of living things on the church ceiling where the commandments expressly forbid the creation of such.
