"St Bartholomew" is wrought in wood, having the following dimensions: 1 x 68 cm; it is dated aproximately 1435, when Konrad Witz was 35 approximately. Thus, we may deem it a Late Maturity masterpiece of Konrad Witz.

"St Bartholomew" is exhibited at offentliche Kunstsammlung, Basle, together with other important works of art of the Northern Renaissance period.

Among Konrad Witz"s other signed paintings, we note: "Christ on the Cross", dated 1430-1433 and located at Staatliche Museen, Berlin; - "Saint Christopher", completed in 1435 and displayed at offentliche Kunstsammlung, Basle; - "The Miraculous Draught of Fishes", finished in 1443-1444 and located at Musee d Art et d Histoire, Geneva; - "King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba", dated 1435, presently hosted at Staatliche Museen, Berlin
