Commissioned by Cardinal Maria del Monte, this is the third of the series dedicated to St. Matthew in the Contarelli Chapel (next to "The Inspiration of St. Matthew" and "The Calling of St. Matthew"). Oil on canvas. Displayed around 1600. Currently in San Luigi dei Francesi, in Rome.
