Juan De Flandes (1460-1519)

Juan de Flandes was a Flemish painter who was probably trained in Ghent around 1480, and produced many paintings in Spain, between 1496 and the year of his death (1519).

Juan de Flandes is considered a master of the High Renaissance, akin in style to Van der Goes.

He is known for religious paintings like "The Raising of Lazarus" (1518, Museo del Prado, Madrid), "The Revenge of Herodias" (Museum Mayer van den Bergh, Antwerp), "The Capture of Christ" (1500, Palazzo Reale, Madrid).
