Giovanni Maria Falconetto (1458-1534)

Giovanni Maria Falconetto, Italian painter and architect, was born in Verona in 1458, and died at Padua, in 1534 during the High Renaissance period. While in Padua, he projected and built the "Church of San Antonio" and the "Gate of Saint John"

As a painter he is best known for the Zodiac frescoes in Palazzo di Arco in Mantua, in the "Sala dello Zodiaco".
