Francesco Francia (1450-1518)

Francesco di Marco Raibolini also known as Francia, was an Italian painter of the High Renaissance, who was born and died in Bologna (1450-1518)

He was the author of many works remarkable through their vigorous colours and their composed, restrained expression. Among them, the "Crucifixion with Saints John and Jerome" (1485, hosted at (1485) Collezioni Comunali d Arte, Bologna), "Crucifixion" (1505, San Giacomo Maggiore, Bologna), and "Madonna and Saints" (San Giacomo Maggiore, Bologna).
